54 Wallets Potentially Associated with Institutions Accumulating Chainlink LINK from Binance Lookonchain

Whales have voraciously consumed the decentralized oracle network Chainlink (LINK), as reported by the cryptocurrency tracker Lookonchain.

Lookonchain has observed that 54 new wallets withdrew 2.08 million LINK valued at $30.28 million from Binance within the last seven days. Speculation is rife that these addresses may pertain to institutional investors.

At the time of writing, LINK is being exchanged at $14.43. This crypto asset holds the 17th position in terms of market capitalization and has recorded a growth of over 1.5% in the previous week.

In addition to this, Lookonchain has highlighted that the German government executed a transaction involving 1,500 Bitcoin (BTC) valued at $94.7 million on Monday. Out of this, 400 BTC amounting to $25.3 million was transferred to crypto exchanges such as Bitstamp, Coinbase, and Kraken.

According to Lookonchain’s data, the German government currently possesses 44,692 BTC valued at $2.82 billion.

Germany has commenced the sale of the BTC seized during the investigation of Movie2k.to, a defunct illegal streaming platform notorious for distributing over 880,000 pirated movies between 2008 and May 2013. The Dresden Public Prosecutor’s Office reported that the site’s operators invested the proceeds from their unlawful activities into Bitcoin.

In connection with the investigation, authorities confiscated close to 50,000 BTC, marking the largest seizure of its kind in Germany to date.

As of the current writing, Bitcoin is trading at $62,072. This leading crypto asset based on market capitalization has experienced a decline of more than 1% within the past 24 hours.
