Economist Henrik Zeberg predicts Altcoins to soar in a euphoric bull run akin to a blowoff top style

Renowned economist Henrik Zeberg predicts a surge in the altcoin market, reaching new highs before a global economic downturn. Zeberg, with a substantial following on social media platform X, analyzes the TOTAL-ETH-BTC chart, which tracks the market cap of cryptocurrencies excluding Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

According to Zeberg, TOTAL-ETH-BTC is on the verge of reaching “euphoria” at the $1.83 trillion mark, indicating a potential blow-off top. He anticipates a period of heightened speculation in US equities and the crypto market, signaling the onset of the final phase of the business cycle. Zeberg foresees a significant uptrend in altcoins with the onset of an altseason.

Currently, TOTAL-ETH-BTC is valued at $662.75 billion, as per Zeberg’s analysis. In a separate chart, Zeberg points out a trend where central banks such as the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank tend to lower interest rates before an economic recession.

Zeberg urges his followers to consider whether the economy is headed towards a new expansion or if it is nearing the late cycle leading to a recession. With recent rate cuts by the Bank of Canada and the ECB, Zeberg emphasizes the significance of central banks cutting rates to prevent an economic downturn.

Looking ahead, the Federal Reserve’s decision on the Federal Funds Rate is expected at the upcoming June 12th Federal Open Market Committee meeting. While the central bank is anticipated to maintain rates, Zeberg’s analysis prompts investors to stay vigilant and monitor market developments closely.
