Analyst Jamie Coutts Predicts Imminent Altseason Signal with Revealing His Preferred Altcoin Selections
Real Vision analyst Jamie Coutts predicts a significant breakout for altcoins against Bitcoin (BTC). Coutts, a former Bloomberg analyst, shares his insights with his 18,100 followers on the social media platform X, stating that the altcoin season index, which measures the profitability of digital assets compared to BTC, could soon indicate a bullish trend for altcoins. Coutts believes that, considering the state of the crypto, presidential, and liquidity cycles, an altseason signal is likely to emerge in the coming weeks. He identifies a historical signal for the start of an alt season as the simultaneous rise of the smart contract platform (SCP) sector and an uptrend in the alt season index, represented by green arrows on his chart. While the alt season index has not yet increased, Coutts notes that SCP projects are beginning to show bullish signs. He selects top alt projects that he believes will perform well in the coming weeks, including Solana (SOL), NEAR Protocol (NEAR), and Toncoin (TON). Coutts suggests investors could try to anticipate the alt season or focus on assets that already outperform the altcoin season index and bet on their continued relative strength. As of writing, SOL/BTC is trading at 0.00250 BTC ($168), up nearly 1% in the last 24 hours. NEAR is trading at 0.0001135 BTC ($7.63), slightly up for the day, and TON is trading at 0.00009646 BTC ($6.46), up 1.17% in the past 24 hours.
