Analyst Jamie Coutts Forecasts a 60 Probability of Bitcoin Reaching 170000 in This Cycle Unveiling the Timeline

Real Vision’s primary crypto analyst, Jamie Coutts, has projected a potential surge of over 155% for Bitcoin (
BTC
) during the current market cycle.

During an appearance on Raoul Pal’s The Journey Man YouTube channel, Coutts suggested that the global money supply increase could propel Bitcoin to six-figure territory.

Coutts explained, “My base case, derived from analyzing global M2 (money supply) back to August when the Bitcoin cycle peaked, implies a price of about $100,000 for Bitcoin. I consider this a potential outcome but with a very low probability. My proportional forecast is $170,000.”

The crypto analyst also presented “more optimistic scenarios,” envisioning Bitcoin skyrocketing to as high as $234,000 or even beyond.

He emphasized the importance of assigning probabilities to these potential outcomes to develop a grounded, probability-weighted projection, stating, “I don’t think Bitcoin is going to go parabolic to $500,000 this cycle. I see $500,000 in the future, not this cycle. So it’s a very low probability. And the outcome is just this probability-weighted market forecast of 189,000 for Bitcoin by August of next year, which will give it a market cap of around $3.75 trillion.”

Coutts outlined the probabilities, indicating that Bitcoin has a 15% chance of reaching $100,000 by around mid-August of 2025, a 60% chance of hitting $170,335, a 20% chance of surging to $234,000, and a 5% chance of reaching $500,000.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $66,633.
