Crypto Trader Says Foundation for Next Altcoin Hype Cycle is Currently Being Established – Here’s His Timeline
A popular cryptocurrency analyst predicts that altcoins are on the verge of a significant breakout by July. Rekt Capital, an analyst known by a pseudonym, shares his thoughts with his 467,200 followers on the social media platform X. According to him, the second quarter of this year will likely see an “alt hype cycle” as the market consolidates.
Rekt Capital emphasizes that while there is still time before the Q2 altcoin hype cycle takes off, the groundwork for the next wave of altcoin rallies is being laid at this very moment. He believes that market-wide breakouts cannot happen without the market first going through periods of slow consolidation.
Furthermore, the analyst notes that if Bitcoin follows a historical pattern, the peak of the crypto king’s cycle will likely occur next year in September or October. He points out that during the 2015-2017 cycle, Bitcoin reached its peak 518 days after the halving, and during the 2019-2021 cycle, it peaked 546 days after the halving. If this pattern repeats itself, Bitcoin could potentially reach its peak in the current cycle in mid-September or mid-October 2025.
Rekt Capital adds that Bitcoin is currently accelerating in this cycle by approximately 200 days. Therefore, the longer the consolidation period after the halving, the better it will be for aligning this current cycle with the traditional halving cycle.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $64,848, reflecting a 4.6% increase in the last 24 hours.
