SkyBridge Capital Says Bitcoin Will Surpass Gold’s $16 Trillion Market Cap
Renowned hedge fund manager Anthony Scaramucci is confident that Bitcoin (BTC) will surpass the $16 trillion market cap of gold in the future. In an interview with CNBC, Scaramucci describes Bitcoin as an extraordinary asset that has no parallel in the history of humanity spanning 5,000 years.
Scaramucci acknowledges that Bitcoin still has a long way to go before it reaches the market capitalization of gold, but he believes that this gap will narrow as regulators continue to endorse BTC. He emphasizes the immutability and decentralization of Bitcoin, highlighting its powerful network and contrasting it with the manipulation commonly associated with traditional currencies controlled by central banks.
Scaramucci believes that Bitcoin, currently valued at $1.4 trillion, has the potential to surpass gold’s market capitalization. He argues that as regulatory acceptance increases, more people will include Bitcoin in their investment portfolios. Even a modest 1% allocation from global portfolios would contribute significantly to Bitcoin’s growth.
As of now, Bitcoin is trading at $66,587.
