Binance Labs Reveals Fresh Investment in AIPowered Layer2 Crypto Project
The investment arm of the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world is making strides in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology with blockchain in its latest funding initiative.
Binance Labs has revealed its investment in Zircuit, a new Layer-2 (L2) network that incorporates AI-driven “sequencer level” security. This innovative L2 network combines rollup infrastructure technology with zero-knowledge proofs to enable fast, cost-effective, and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible transactions.
Co-founder of Zircuit, Martin Derka, explains, “Zircuit was created through cutting-edge research in scaling and security. We are building on a strong technical foundation to enhance the safety of Ethereum for future users. We are excited to have Binance Labs join us on this exciting journey.”
The network’s architecture aims to streamline circuits and merge proofs to enhance efficiency and reduce operational expenses. With over 1,100 applications reviewed through its “Build to Earn” program, Zircuit has secured top industry launch partners and over $3.5 billion in staked assets. The mainnet launch is set to take place in the upcoming months.
Yi He, Co-Founder of Binance and Head of Binance Labs, comments, “At Binance Labs, we are committed to supporting projects that drive innovation in Web3 and propel the blockchain industry forward. With its advanced sequencer level security integration, Zircuit offers a more secure L2 solution, and we are excited to witness its growth and further development.”
