Analyst Benjamin Cowen’s Outlook Suggests Ethereum’s Anticipated Advancement Against Bitcoin

A highly regarded cryptocurrency analyst predicts that Ethereum (ETH) will experience a surge against Bitcoin (BTC) in the coming year. Benjamin Cowen, a crypto strategist with 848,000 YouTube subscribers, suggests that based on historical trends, Ethereum will soon reach its lowest point against the top cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

In a recent video update, Cowen explains that ETH/BTC is likely to rise in early 2025, regardless of how Bitcoin performs against the US dollar. He points out that historically, ETH/BTC reaches its bottom either in December or January. As it is already December 22nd, Cowen speculates that Ethereum will remain weak against Bitcoin for the remainder of the year and possibly into early January. However, he expects ETH/BTC to start moving upward in 2025, regardless of the direction of BTC/USD.

Cowen further observes that based on previous market cycles, 2025 should be a favorable year for ETH/BTC in terms of quarterly returns. He notes that the first and second quarters of 2022 were negative, while the third and fourth quarters were positive. The only other quarter in the past three years where ETH/BTC experienced positive returns was the second quarter of 2024. Cowen suggests that based on this pattern, it is likely that there will be more positive returns for ETH/BTC in 2025 and possibly in early 2026.

At the time of writing, ETH/BTC is valued at 0.03444 ($3,343.71).
