A well-known crypto analyst and trader believes that it is unlikely for a widespread altcoin season to occur in the current market conditions. In a recent YouTube video, the trader, who goes by the pseudonym The Flow Horse, informs his 11,500 subscribers that there is insufficient funding for an altseason to take place at the moment.

“What this means is that there is definitely enough money to invest in certain assets and significantly boost their value, but this comes at the expense of other assets. So you can have two individuals in this market, with one of them having a clear understanding of the market situation. This person might say, ‘This market is booming. It’s incredible. Altseason.’

On the other hand, you could have another person who has invested in the wrong assets, thinking that it is already a bear market because their investments have completely declined and lack substantial capital and interest.

Therefore, I believe that the dispersion of market conditions will persist. The concept of altseason is more like these ongoing rotations that are becoming more concentrated. However, a rising tide is not taking place. It simply isn’t. There is an abundance of low-quality assets, and there is not enough funding available to elevate them.”

The analyst is also closely monitoring the Bitcoin dominance (BTC.D) chart, which currently stands at 58.53%. Traders utilize BTC.D to assess whether altcoins are outperforming Bitcoin, as this metric calculates the proportion of the crypto market capitalization that belongs to BTC.

According to the trader’s chart, the metric has increased by over 4% in the past six months, indicating that Bitcoin has been experiencing a faster rise in value compared to altcoins.
